The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
•Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
•Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
•Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!
To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years or older. PADI eLearning requires a minimum age of 13 years due to international Internet laws.
Why Ocean Diver?
We run private courses only with a maximum group size of 4 and usually two people per session.
We want people to enjoy their diving and be confident and secure in the water. You will be able to use the club pool sessions to practise your buoyancy further and to increase your confidence (£10 for non club members, free to members plus £10 for a tank and £10 for kit (half price for members; membership is £40 per year).
£499. For a private one to one course: £749. This includes all course materials, pool sessions and two days of Open Water training dives. It also includes air and kit but not dive site entries (usually £10 a day for two days).
We use two pool locations in Caterham, Surrey that are in easy reach to Purley, Coulsdon, Godstone, Warlingham, Croydon, Oxted, Wallington and further. Open water sessions are run in Godstone, Kent or Wraysbury (which is easily accessible by public transport).
If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
